Because it might appeal to Rock Island buffs, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce the latest CD release from Merrill Publishing Associates (www.merrillpublishingassociates.com). Entitled DAVENPORT LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, the CD contains Davenport's Rod Locomotive Catalog, tenth edition; Catalogue of Steam Locomotive Repair Parts; Quick Maintenance Checks - Diesel Electric Locomotives; and Specifications of 44-ton, 380 hp Diesel Electric Locomotive; with a brief company history. (the thread of logging here is that Davenport sold locomotives to logging concerns) The CD is available at $20 + $2 US S&H (WI residents add 5.5% = $1.10 tax) from Merrill Publishing Associates, P.O. Box 51, Merrill, WI 54452 or from the above website, where you can view other MPA photo CD's. As with the other CD's, the format allows the CD to be printed out in book form. 

There have been several recent listings of Davenport Locomotive Works catalogs on ebay, and each sold considerably than $20. Tom Burg for MPA
