My Fellow ROCKologists:
My plan is even simpler. I wait until June or July and usually the snow and ice is all gone. This saves on a lot a manual labor.

Here is a helpful snow shoveling suggestion: Every fall, I wax our snow shovel, and my wife says it is much easier for her to shovel the driveway clear as the snow does not stick to the shovel. On the rare occasion when I feel like helping, I use a Rock Island shovel I purchased at auction 30 years ago. It has a wooden handle with a separate cast iron hand grip. I noted a similar shovel in a ca. 1910 foto of a Rock Island crew. I feel like I am a member of the BMWE and have a BMWE pin affixed to my cap!!! However, it is smaller than my wife's snow shovel, so it does not speed things up if I help!! lwa
