I just got off of the phone with a representative with Union Pacific
in Cheyenne, WY. He was not forthcoming with a lot of information, but
said it will not fall to the cutters torch and it is in safe hands. He
said the UP still has to many ex-Rock Island folks to let something
like that happen! I asked him if it would end up wearing armour yellow
and gray and he said no. He also said it would not wear bankruptcy
blue & white either and laughed. It sounds like they want to preserve
it but he did not elaborate and then teased me with this...
