My Fellow ROCKologists:

I was wondering if anyone on the list might have some knowledge of the
Baldwin built 2-6-6-T double-ended Forney type steam locomotive used in the
Chicago commuter service in the late 1800s. One question is why is it
referred to as a "double-ended" locomotive? This type of locomotive was
numbered in the 1000 series.
