Greetings,

I wanted to take a moment here to introduce myself as the new editor  
of The Rocket. I'm looking forward to working with RITS as well as  
past editor Kevin EuDaly. Of course the magazine will still be  
produced by White River Productions to the same high quality  
standards you've come to expect.

I come to White River and The Rocket with a wealth of experience. I  
grew up in a railroad family just a short drive from Silvis. My first  
job was working for a hobby shop. Since then I've been on the staff  
of Passenger Train Journal, First & Fastest, Fast Track, NMRA  
Bulletin, The Milwaukee Railroader, GM&O News, Private Varnish, and I  
was a staff member of Remember the Rock from it's first issue. My  
byline and/or photo credit have also appeared in Railroad Model  
Craftsman, Railfan, Classic Toy Trains, Trains On Location Videos, as  
well as Kalmbach, Railpace, and Andover Junction books.

My goal is simple. To make The Rocket the best historical society  
magazine in the field. To do this I need your help. After all it's  
not my magazine it's yours. All of us here have a responsibility to  
preserve the history of the Rock Island for future generations. We  
can do that by getting your stories and photos into print. Please  
don't hesitate to contact me if you have any material you'd like to  
share with our readers or even if you just have some input on what  
kind of magazine you think the Rocket should be.
