Roger, I am probably the best bet to make that connection. I once
(some time ago) picked up some Rock Island material at the San Diego RR
Museum there at the RR Station. Is the material you refer to in San
Diego or at Campo? The stuff I picked up at SDG was suppose to have
had some train orders in it but didn't. I'm wondering if this is some
of the same collection, the part that wasn't available to me the day I
was there.
As you know, I'm not far from San Diego and wouldn't mind picking it up
there but I'm not thrilled about the idea of going out to Campo to get
it, especially not knowing what it consists of. If you can ask them to
have it FOB either SDG or Fullerton I will be glad to pursue it. I can
then look it over and we can, collectively, determine where it should
go. The previous items were shipped to Belleville, KS but I'm not sure
if that would still be the case.
If you need to call me 714/525-0588 that's OK too. Yes, we are a 501
(C)(3) Corporation.
What in the world are you doing in San Diego, other than soaking up
some much needed sunshine?
