[RITSlist] R.I. ON VIDEO TAPE

Looked at a short video I purchased last fall; but, I must have slept 
thru it the first time I viewed it.  It is entitled Mainline USA, and 
was produced by Pentrex in 1995.  It was produced from old movies, 
with narration much like an old theatre newsreel.  Basically it deals 
with history and importance of railroads to the US economy.  In the 
last half it shows modern passenger trains and freight handling 
inovations.  There are two nice scenes of Rock Island Rocket 
passenger trains, and also two scenes showing the Rock Island 
convert-a-freight(not sure if title is correct) containers in 
service, and being loaded or unloaded.

I bought my copy at the Boone & Scenic Valley RR in Boone, Iowa.  I'm 
sure there are other copies available elsewhere.  Possibly Pentrex 
still stocks it.  Just wanted to pass this info along to other 
interested parties.
