[RITSlist] My Favorite Books

All,

My interest in the RI is centered around the early 1950's
('50-55). There are three books that I cannot keep on my bookshelf --
they're always laying around the house somewhere because I'm always
consulting them!

	They are:

For motive power and train info: "Rock Island Motive Power 1933-55" by
Lloyd Stagner
For passenger trains: "Route of the Rockets" by Greg Stout
For freight & passenger cars: "RI Color Guide to Freight and Passenger
Equipment" by Hile, Hickox, and Miller.

I note, by the way, the the latter two are not present in the
bibliography on the rits.org website.

Regards,

-Jeff
