[RITSlist] New Rock Island book is out

My newest book, Rock Island Line in Focus: The Railroad Photographs  
(1898-1925) of Jules A. Bourquin is now out.  It's 160 pages  long, a softcover 
printed on high quality paper, and primarily a book  of pictures (184 of them, none 
previously published) taken in and near the  RI town of Horton, Kansas.  And 
what photos they are!  I believe  Bourquin was one of the earliest 
railfans-photographers to use good equipment,  and he caught it all: locomotives, 
facilities, accidents, unusual trains and  engines, and railroaders at work.  I can't 
think of another book  that's  comparable -- the closest would be my own 
earlier Prairie  Railroad Town (which is all sold out), which used some of  
Bourquin's other photos.  This book is jointly published by me and the  DeGolyer 
Library at SMU.  For RITS members, I offer a special price of $30  postapid,
