Hello, Les and All -  CHOCTAW #99 is a classic, heavyweight business car built for the Rock Island by Pullman in 1913 as #1911.  It followed business car #1902, built in 1912-also by Pullman- which became #98.  Cars were renumbered in 1953.  The 98 was named CHOCTAW and painted two-tone grey when G.W. Kelly came to the RI in 1965.  When the 98 was sold off in 1968, the 99 was given the two-tone paint job along with that CHOCTAW name. The 98 is now the beautifully restored GRITTY PALACE, which many of you saw at Chicago Union Station during this year's RITS convention.
