On a side note, Maytag no longer exists - Whirlpool bought them a over a year ago, maybe two...
And I just was reading the Newton plant has become a ghost town now, with the last few employees turning out the lights and locking the doors. Washer and dryer production has moved to Mexico.

As far as all the RI records go, I understand they were purged well before the buyout.
