I worked in Rock Island Public Relations 1951 to 1958 under William Edward Hayes, Executive Assistant.  I think the comments about Mr. Pate, who succeeded Bill Hayes, are slanderous, and are  an illustration of erroneous assumptions of the railfan  community.Mr. Pate deserves an apology.  Jim Neubauer
