[RITSlist] Fw: Fall RITS get-together in Boone, IA

A RITS get-together will be held November 3, 2007 in Boone, IA.  The meeting will be held at the Golden Corral located at 1312 S. Story Street in Boone, IA (just north of the intersection of  US Hwy 30 and Story Street)  The Golden Corral is on the right hand side of Story Street as you go north to downtown Boone.   The meeting will start at 5:00PM.  The Golden Corral has both a buffet and a menu available and each individual is responsible for the cost of their meal.    

This meet will be held in conjunction with the Kate Shelly NMRA Division meet being held at the United Community School.  The meet starts at 9:00AM and should be concluded by 3:30PM.  The full registration cost at the door is $5.00.  A  $.50 discount is available at the door for NMRA members or full time students.  Children under 13 are free with a adult administration.  United Community School is located between Ames and Boone Iowa on US Highway 30.  The school is about nine miles west of the Interstate 35/ US Highway 30 interchange, which is about 35 miles North of Des Moines, IA.  Iowa Highway 17 meets US Highway 30 about two miles west of the school.  The school is on the north side of US Highway 30.  At this meet there are 6 clinics scheduled,  door prizes to be given out throughout the day,  a silent auction and both a model contest and photo contest.  Also a large dealer show with over 90 tables of the latest in new equipment in many scales, other modeling materials and other railroad related materials for sale.  

Because of the November date, inclement weather is always possible.  If any rescheduling is required, a announcement will be placed with WHO 1040 AM radio and other local stations that handle related weather announcements.
