[RITSlist] CRI&P Coal Trains -- another question

In your early 1980s time frame UCEX (red) and AMAX Ortner rapid  
discharge hoppers were definitely used in unit trains between mines  
on the Rio Grande and Union Electric's West Labadie, MO plant. The  
trains were loaded by Colowyo Coal at Axial and Energy Fuels at  
Energy, both on the Rio Grande's Craig branch. The routing was D&RGW- 
Pueblo-MP-W. Labadie. The D&RGW train numbers were 713/714, the MP  
symbol was CUO.

On the subject of coal trains, would the CRIP have hauled any coal east from
Denver in the '60s or early '70s?
