[RITSlist] Update on Manly Jct Railroad Museum--Rock Island equipment being acquired

Some pretty good news to share:
 
    *   630 and 652 will be moved to Mid American in Kansas City for 
assessment  and future rebuild.
    *   Former business car Choctaw moving to IANR owned by IANR Supt  
Transportation Mark Vaughn may become part of IANR business car fleet and  based at 
Manly.
    *   Approximately 20 acres under contract to purchase from UP and private 
 owners, combined with former Rock Island depot site for museum.  Grant  from 
Worth County to provide funds for purchase.
    *   Engine 536 identified as for sale in Plainview TX.  Looking for more  
information.
    *   Working out details to acquire three former RI high-nose GP-7's (for 
Manly  Jct. Museum with possible assessment for operating restoration.  Nos.  
4436 formerly 1209; 4535 formerly 1224; 4519 formerly  1264.    
    *   Looking for some former RI passenger  equipment.    
    *   Received IRS confirmation of non-profit status.
