Anyone know if they plan on doing the delivered scheme? That one would work
best for me.

Thanks!

John,

We will attempt to match the red which is shown on your photo link of the
FP7. If you or the RI Technical Society should happen to have a color chip
or color reference for both the red and yellow that we should use, by all
means pass it along. If there is a brand of commercial paint that matches
accurately, that works for us as well as we can create our own color chip
that our factory can match. Any and all color photos would also be helpful
if you have some.

I will pass along your request for this scheme on the other F units as well.

Thanks!

SorryŠhit send too fast on the other email

Hi,

I am REALLY excited that this scheme is going to be available, especially in
N scale.

There is a discussion on the RI Technical Society list about the maroon
color. At the time of this paint scheme, the RI was using 2 reds/maroons.
One was referred to as ³Chicago red², which was brighter color as evidenced
by this photo of the AB-6:

http://www.rockisl.com/cgi-bin/display.asp?f=1&e=1&n=67

The other red/maroon, which is accurate for the FP7s, is a deeper, richer
color as found on this photo of an FP7:

http://www.rockisl.com/cgi-bin/display.asp?f=1&e=1&n=115

I told the list to be careful about judging colors on-screen as they could
vary from the actual hues. Could you resolve the question as to which maroon
the Intermountain FP7s will be painted?

Thanks very much! I hope to see the regular Fs available in this scheme,
too!

John Galich
