Mr. Weibler is right on Rock Island dark red.  CGW painted its diesels maroon which was o.k. for them, but not Rock Island and there is an apt comparison.  Those of us old enough to remember recall the early 400s were painted in the cerise and dark red passenger Rocket livery  when brand new.   Jim Neubauer
