[RITSlist] FW: GP35 Fuel Tank Question

I bought one of the Athearn retooled RPP blue box GP35s and want to weather
it. The fuel tank on the model is black (the model is of #322 in the maroon
with yellow ends and block lettering, Jeff Prince's Type 6a). The photos I
have are all from around '75 to '80 when they were in pretty sad shape. I'm
modeling 1970. All of the photos I have of RI GP35s have black fuel tanks,
EXCEPT #322. In one photo of the engineer's side most of the tank is maroon
or maybe red primer. Anyone know for sure if this one unit got repainted
with a maroon tank?
