[RITSlist] RI Silver boxcars

Just after WWII, the RI obtained 10 aluminum boxcars for express service numbered 20060 - 20069.  They were not painted silver, the aluminum was natural.  As delivered, the non aluminum parts were painted black as was the lettering.

These unique cars have been widely modeled, generally lacking in some details.  

RITS published a data sheet about them back in the first quarter of 1988.  Copies are available from the company store.
