Right, his motive power description fits the Iowa River.  Last time I 
was over to that part of Iowa to railfan, they were alive and well.  
However, there was a pike that ran on former RI trackage west of 
Estherville that gave up the ghost.  As I recall, they had a switch 
engine and a BCOL Alco/Montreal unit, but do not recall a GP30.  That 
was the pike that came to mind when I answered his query.   lwa
