Right, his motive power description fits the Iowa
River.? Last time I was over to that part of Iowa to railfan, they were
alive and well.? However, there was a pike that ran on former RI
trackage west of Estherville that gave up the ghost.? As I recall, they
had a switch engine and a BCOL Alco/Montreal unit, but do not recall a
GP30.? That was the pike that came to mind when I answered his query. ?
