If we are going beyond N scale, I'll add mine. In the early 50s there was
an S scale mfr. named Perma-Bilt who made stamped metal car sides and kits
using those sides; they included the aluminum 20000-series car in their
line; I have two on the layout now, one built from the kit, the other built
with a pair of the sides and the rest of the parts from other sources.
