[RITSlist] Foundation of the first roundhouse in Rock Island Ill.? ??

Aha! So that's what it is.
I didn't know that there was a CB&Q roundhouse that close to the CRI&P yard. After doing some searching I did find a photo of it:
<http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=601005#>
It seems like a rather odd place for their roundhouse since, as far as I know, this was not an immediate location for any type of classification yard for the Q. I think their yard was further west of here.
I realize that this would be a CB&Q question, but does anyone know when this structure was torn down?
And just an FYI, the foundation and remains of the CRI&P roundhouse that we see just to the south and east apparently is the second roundhouse. According to a map that I purchased from RITS, there was another smaller turntable and roundhouse immediately next to the present site, the map shows both of them. After observing these air shots, I can see no evidence of its existence, that's why I thought the CB&Q site might have been it.
And of course, just as a reminder, there's the mysterious Moline roundhouse in the scrapyard not far to the east:

I suspect that this was originally a Rockford, Rock Island $ St. Louis facility, but I could be wrong.

Joe,

You've found the ex-CB&Q turntable/roundhouse. This one is north of the ex-
CRI&P roundhouse. The three tracks to the right with all the parked ADM cars
is also ex-CB&Q that loops around the north side of the CRI&P yard. The two
rusty tracks on the left of the photo go into the old Farmall plant (which is
being torn down for redevelopment).

The ex-CRI&P roundhouse is long gone and the turntable was removed within the
last 5 years by the IAIS. All that remains is a half-filled turntable pit and
a single stall shed now used by M-of-W.

Hope this helps,
