Mr. Wilhelm's Passenger F Unit was great.  I personally
believe this Digest is the best one yet.

Richards suspicion about the link between FP7 402 403 and 409 and F7B 675B-677B is correct.  I have a copy of a letter from C H Gray El Reno dated May 23 1953 to O W Limestall.  It referred to Limestalls eariler file No 140 dated May 1st in connection with the exchange to be made of trucks on diesel 675B and 677B with the trucks on diesel 402 and 403.

Mr Gray then advised that the change of trucks between 402 and 677B was made at El Reno on May 6 1953 and that the change of trucks between 403 and 677B were made at El Reno and May 24 1953.
As to when the 409 and 676B were swapped I don't know.  This brings up another question. Did these now high speed FP7's receive their additional lower headlight at this time?
