[RITSlist] Modified RI GP7

I have a slide of the 437 that was developed in June of 1975.  It is a rear 3/4 view, but by the the angle of the front that shows the grab irons, it is evident that the class lights were below the number boards when the photo was taken, so around mid 1975 it had been modified.  I wonder if it is from a collision or wreck that the shop had to modify the short nose?

  RI GP7 437 has its froont classification lights below the
  number boards instead of the normal location. My photo
  dated Apr 28 1978 shows the modification.  Anybody
  know when this was done and why.
