Les and list:

This car number (47121) isn't listed in the October '59 ORER. At this time
there is 2 series of cars (47000 - 47020 & 47021 - 47041) listed as having
the roof hatches/small side unloading doors and lined for flour service. The
car you refer to, #47121, IS listed in the January '66 as part of a 75 car
series (47100 - 47174) equiped with 3 DF2 loaders & also listed "lined with
1/2 thick plywood side & end lining, coated with ADM 900 off white, floor
coated with ADM 900 clear Urethane, underside of roof coated with 1/2 inch
thick Mortel no. 3018 insulating matl".

It would seem that this car was for some type of special (CLEAN?) loading,
although what car series this one came from I don't know, nor what these
carried. Since the picture shows the door open on this car, and a different
(later diagonal panel type) roof, this one wouldn't be part of the flour car
series. (There were still 35 of the 47000 series flour service boxcars
listed in service at this same time).

I hope this helps you out.
