[RITSlist] Red Color of Three Rock Island Locos

Patrick, 
The word I got was that these painted steamers were back-up for the Golden
State, which reasonably would mean they would be a scarlet.  
The color on the DP site looks like scarlet.  Do you agree?
Was this UN engine a red different than the other two?
Incidentally, how long did you have to wait for delivery?

Check out www.divisionpoint.com for photos of the just-delivered model of
CRI&P #4055 painted red for United Nations train.  These guys do their
research and produce beautiful models, so one would assume they feel
reasonably confident, within the margin of error of 60+ years, that their
color is pretty good.

I purchased black-boilered #4047 and #4056 and just received them this week.
Gorgeous.

Ir's hard to distinguish from the slide that I have. 
Since the locomotives were painted that color for back-up power to the
Golden State, I would assume that the Crimson color on the Rockets would
have been the choice. I have never seen it spelled out, anywhere, what
actual color was used.
