Nice! I wish IHC had done a better job on the model. I think I have a trains mag with a photo of it.

  Yes, Dave, we're talking about the red painted 4055 Mountain (coal burner) and the 4047 (oil burner) painted for and used to pull the Delegates' Train to the signing of the United Nations Charter at the end of World War II.  The 4055 protected the schedule of the Rocky Mountain Rocket and the Golden State Limited. The locomotives did not remain long in that livery.

  The color red was a crimson color, a bright red with a hint of orange to it.(see pages 8 and 9 of Remember The Rock magazine, Volume 2, Issue No. 3, Fall 2005).  Northern 5040 had a red painted boiler jacket at the time of the Chicago World's Fair, 1933.
