[RITSlist] Fw: Modelling HEP

I've thought that for modeling purposes (in HO scale, at least) a pair of the Highliner 34" high fans (the F2/F3 style raised fans) could be reworked into the fans for this by sectioning these housings into a shorter higth with the fans installed. The protective "grid" above the fans could be kitbashed using (Kadee) roofwalk material, although I haven't decided that this would work properly on a model. So take these as some suggestion's only.

I think the blueprints might actually say "CNW" on them. The engineering had already been done, so the RI didn't have to start from scratch.

The grid looks like step tread and might be able to be replicated with etched roofwalk material (though this would make a fine and welcome detail part, should anyone like to manufacture it).

Do any of the modelers on this list have any suggestions how to model the HEP cooling fans on the E and F units that were converted to push-pull commuter service.  Thanks for any help.                               Chuck
