[RITSlist] Why? TTPX flat #80570

Could this be cars that were on a long term lease? Depending on the build/lease date of the cars, could Rock Island have considered a long term lease cheaper than actually owning the cars. Maybe these were leased about the time of shutdown. Could this also been an easier way for other railroads to handle these cars, if they went through an interchange and had TTX on them other than a RI number?  Sorry just throwing ideas out as I don't know.
