  Also the RIS went to Macomb? I know it went to Monmouth and then to Galesburg. At Cameron the line would be to the north of the BN line there.You can still see the ROW where it runs under the transon.
  The RIS also had the RI&MC on it from Rok Island out to Sherrard Premption area.My grandfather remebers as  a kid making the conductor on the line( who rode the cab of the steam engine as there was no caboose on this local) so mad that he would throw lumps of coal at the kids taunting him.To which they would then pick up and run home with.
  I know there is a small yahoo group on the RIS and a book on the RI&P that goes into some details.
