A the request of Mr. Jack Carson, the following
announcement is sent to all members of the RITSLIST:

   The official Grand Opening of the Savanna Museum, 
Company Store        
   and Archives is scheduled for the week-end of June
14th and 15th.
   Festivities will include a flag raising ceremony by
a Color Guard,  
   speakers, plenty of food, tours, games and a
motorcycle brigade.  An 
   HO scale layout is being constructed in the museum
building with
   hopes that  Rock Island trains will be running. 
Plenty of train watching
   on the property.  We hope to see all of you at this
memorable event, 
   and spread the word to others.
