Folks,
    This is neither a complaint or a condemnation, but a statement of fact.
   I am a member of several Yahoo Groups and a few lists.  My primary focus is
the Frisco and my interest  in the Rcck Island is primarily as a connecting
road here in Arkansas.  However, I have learned a great deal about the overall
railroad and how the Choctaw Route figured into the scheme of things.
  As of right now, there are no Frisco-centric publications.  None.  There is
a Yahoo group and the Frisco website.  We are able to exchange information,
but not on the scale that Rock fans and modelers can.  There are three or four
Rock-centered magazines.  
  Rather than complain about the way things are, be thankful that someone
thinks enough of the Rock Island to publish dedicated magazines about it. If
it is late, it is still there.  
  Please, write articles and submit them.  Get the information out there,
whether via The Rocket, The Digest, or Remember the Rock.  Post it as a file
on Yahoo. If you need help in putting it together, there are several people
who can and will help you.
   So much of the history of all railroads, not just the Rock Island, has been
lost because someone who knew something didn't share it.
