Dear Mr. Tinder: The attached picture is a picture presented to my Grandfather, Thomas Dunn, longest serving engineer on the RRI lines, 56 1/2 yrs. The picture was a gift because that engine and one other were taken across the Mississippi River at Rock Island when it was frozen in the winter of1854. Part of the crew doing the work was my GGGrandfather, Michael Dunn. Michael Dunn was eventually round house foreman at West Liberty, Ia. and finally at Wilton, Ia, where he was also the hostler. Michael Dunn Green
