Badger has created new colors 16-199 RI Maroon, 16-200 RI Red and 16-201 RI Aluminum White.  I provided paint chips to Badger and they seem very anxious to get it right.  Look for them in your hobby shop.
In HO, Branchline Trains has announced Rock Island versions of their 50 foot single door AAR Box car.  Should be available by Christmas time....  I have a set of decals designed for the Life Like P2K tank car for Rock Island Refining Company (Duncan, OK).  The HO decals are $2.50 plus an SSAE.  Steve Hile, 617 Sunset Dr., Naperville, IL 60540-6630.
In N-scale, Atlas has released new 60-foot ACF auto parts box cars.  Catalog 37251 is lettered for RI - 33805; catalog 37252 is RI - 33814; and catalog 37253 is RI - 33826....  Micro-Trains has re-issued an early [Kadee] car in more than a different number. Stock #20058 is 40 Standard Box Car, Single Door, RI #27459 in box car red. It differs from the early run in that the printing is completely new and there is more of it, roof is silver (galvanized), and ends are black....  Until next time.
